A new species of legionella bacteria discovered in Mallorca.
The President and Scientific Director of Biolinea Int, Sebastián Crespí, has led the investigation and discovery of a new species of Legionella, which has been named Legionella maioricenseis (scientific publication) It is the first species of this bacterium to be described in Spain . In addition to Sebastián Crespí and the Biolinea Int team, a scientific team from the University of the Balearic Islands and several European entities have participated in the discovery.
