El Dr. Sebastián Crespí, presidente de Biolinea, impartirá el próximo 19 de febrero una conferencia a través de Internet para la Royal Society for Public Health de Londres (RSPH), dentro del programa de once webinars gratuitos sobre higiene hídrica previstos por esta prestigiosa organización a lo largo de todo 2014.

Con el título de \\\'Waterborne Pathogens in Urban Areas: Myths, Presumptions and Facts\\\', la conferencia versará sobre las implicaciones sanitarias de las infecciones de origen hídrico como Legionelosis, Cryptosporidiasis y otras en el contexto urbano. Asimismo, analizará algunos de los mitos y presunciones que todavía perviven en el campo de la higiene del agua a pesar de la ausencia de pruebas científicas en su favor e, incluso, de la existencia de evidencias claramente en su contra.

El registro en este programa de webinars es completamente gratuito y cualquiera puede inscribirse a través de la web de la RSPH(www.rsph.org.uk/en/resources/water-webinars/index.cfm), así como participar en ellos realizando preguntas. La conferencia del Dr. Crespí y el debate posterior se extenderán aproximadamente durante una hora a partir de las 14:00 horas del día 19 de febrero.

El seminario del presidente de Biolinea es el segundo de una serie de once organizados por la RSPH con el fin de reunir a algunos de los mejores especialistas mundiales en higiene del agua, por lo que son una oportunidad perfecta para aprender más sobre aspectos propios de la higiene del agua, tales como, por ejemplo, la Legionella.

The next 19th February 2014, our President, Dr Sebastián Crespí, will give a presentation at the Royal Society for Public Health, in the context of an educational programme of 11 free webinars focusing on international aspects of water hygiene.

The title of his presentation is Waterborne Pathogens in Urban Areas: Myths, Presumptions and Facts. This webinar will look at the health implications of different waterborne pathogens including Legionella and Cryptosporidium in a variety of urban settings and will deal with different myths and presumptions of water hygiene that remain despite the absence of supporting evidence or presence of contradicting evidence.

The talk is the second in a series of a programme of 11 webinars where will participate some of the most renowned water specialist in the world.
